Manager FAQ's

How are Managers selected?
Managers are Parent Volunteers who have decided to give their time to teach our players and support the Eastvale community by coaching. Once a parent decides to volunteer, he or she fills out an EGSA Volunteer Application and an ASA Background Check. Once the ASA Background Check is cleared, the EGSA Application is held in a file per division. At the completion of registration, player count determines how many Managers will be needed per division for the upcoming season. The EGSA Board of Directors then reviews all Manager applications and ranks them based on experience in softball and time with EGSA.

How are Teams Selected?
Teams are selected by a draft by the managers. Managers pick names from a hat to pick the draft order and it's a serpintine order system. Each manager has their pick until all the girls are selected.

Is my daughter frozen to be sure she's on my team?
Yes. Managers will have their daughter(s) frozen to ensure that they will be locked to the same team.

How many coaches can I have? Are their daughters frozen too?
You may have one declared coach noted on your application. Their daughter, in addition to yours, will be locked on your team.

All frozen players will have their applications reviewed and will be ranked for draft order at which they must be locked. This is to ensure fairness and parity of talent on all teams.
