2015 Board Elections

 

The following positions are up for election:

 

  • President (executive board position) - Antonio Alcazar, running unopposed
  • Treasurer (executive board position) - Mike DiMase, running unopposed
  • Player Agent Director (executive board position) - Jackie Townsend, running unopposed
     

The following positions are available to anyone interested in being nominated.  They must be in good standing with the league, complete a volunteer form and pass a background check.  Nomination ballots will be at the Board Table beginning Tuesday, April 28, 2015 and nominations will close on Saturday, May 2, 2015.

 

  • Equipment Manager - Currently held by Victor Robles
  • 8U Player Agent - Currently held by Jerry Heckman
  • 12U Player Agent - Currently held by Gil Gamez
  • H/S 18U Player Agent - Currently held by Mike Castro
  • All Star Commissioner - Currently held by Efren Reynoso
  • Fundraiser/Team Parent Coordinator - Currently held by Monica Macias
  • Sponsorship Coordinator - Currently held by Dolores Castaneda

A flyer will be made and distributed to All Managers/Team Parents for distribution to parents for voting.  A ballot will be formed based on the nominations and voting can begin week of May 4, 2015 and will end on Saturday May 9, 2015.  Positions to be filled and announced via our website.

Important Dates:‚Äč

  • January 26 - Practices begin
  • March 6 - Opening Ceremonies (Theme night)
  • March 7 - Games begin
  • March 31 - Scholar Athlete forms due
  • April 1 - Team Sponsorship money due ($250)
  • April 4 - No games (Easter Weekend)
  • April 17 - Quakes Night (Quakes vs. Storm)
  • May 9 - Closing Ceremonies

Volunteers,

EGSA appreciates all the effort every volunteer puts into the league.  It is usually a thankless job and we appreciate all you do.  Your countless hours are essential to the success of EGSA.

In the interest of safety for our children, JCSD requires that all volunteers are background checked and the badge they provide must be displayed in plain sight for verification purposes.  

JCSD has informed me that they will be at the fields and checking regularly to ensure that only properly background checked volunteers are on the field.  Anyone who cannot provide proof will be removed from the field.  If there is no one who can run the practice, the practice will be canceled and everyone will be sent home.

Please do not be confrontational with the Park Rangers.  They are only doing what JCSD is instructing them to do.  Continued resistance could lead to EGSA losing their privileges of full access to the fields.

We truly apologize for the inconvenience and thank you again for volunteering with EGSA and JCSD.

All volunteers must have a badge with JCSD BEFORE they can help in any capacity.

Managers are required to attend a mandatory Coaches clinic on January 24th, 2015.  If you do not attend this clinic, you will not be allowed to Manage a team.
